This Austin Lounge Lizards medium cotton tee has the classic cotton look and feel. Casual elegance will make it an instant favorite in everyone’s wardrobe.
This tee’s artwork, done by Guy Juke, is the cover of The Lizards 4th album “Paint Me On Velvet” (1993) on Flying Fish Records.
The Lizards began in 1980 when four young men discovered a shared dream – to get free beer for playing music. They have made that dream come true and surpassed it. For the past four decades, the Lizards have been creating and performing original humorous songs that spoof and provide a unique perspective on subjects such as politics, organized religion, romance, substance abuse, and themselves. In that time, they have never lacked for material. The Lizards’ music features pointed and clever wordplay, precise three- or four-part harmonies, and instrumental expertise. Their live shows engage their audiences and have made their fans laugh with them throughout the United States, as well as in Canada and the United Kingdom.
Five-time winners at the Austin Music Awards, the Lizards have performed on numerous radio programs throughout Texas and nationwide, have played many celebrated music festivals throughout the U.S. and the U.K., and have performed in some of the country’s finest acoustic music venues. Their version of Irving Berlin’s “C-U-B-A” was featured in the Michael Moore documentary film “Sicko.”
The Lizards are composed of co-founders Conrad Deisler (lead and rhythm guitar) and Hank Card (rhythm guitar), and long-time members Tim Wilson (mandolin and fiddle) and Kirk Williams (bass).
